Fat absorption, studied in 6 patients, revealed diminished postprandial lipemia in each as' compared to placebo determinations. However, few patients showed appreciable weight change during a year of therapy. The evidence suggests that the serum lipid changes seeondary to pentolinium administration are due to a qualitative change in fat absorption.
